Gender in Military and Security Structures. Eastern and Central Europe

We will discuss a topic that is largely underlooked in the Baltic and Central European states - the participation and status of women in the military and security structures. We will seek to characterize the transformation of the military and security structures in post-Cold War Europe, and the impact of international gender equality norms have had on this process. We will seek to identify the next steps for academics and practitioners to augment the integrity and inclusiveness of Eastern and Central European military and security structures.
